Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar inaugurated 21 new NADRA registration centres and six mobile registration vehicles (MRVs) in Balochistan during a ceremony at the Chief Minister Secretariat in Quetta on Wednesday. The event marks a significant step towards improving accessibility to registration services in the remote regions of the province.
The ceremony attended by National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, and other provincial ministers, parliamentary secretaries, and NADRA officials.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed his satisfaction with the new initiatives aimed at enhancing the reach of NADRA services in Balochistan. He emphasized the importance of federal institutions collaborating with the provincial government to ensure that the benefits of these services reach the most remote areas of the province.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti highlighted the significance of the new NADRA registration centres and mobile vehicles for the residents of Balochistan. He pointed out that people in the province’s remote areas have long faced challenges in accessing registration and identity card services. The new centres, established in 21 tehsils, along with the mobile registration vehicles, expected to alleviate these difficulties.
“The elderly and women in particular will benefit from these mobile registration units, which will bring essential services directly to their doorsteps,” Chief Minister Bugti stated.
The establishment of these new NADRA registration centres and mobile vehicles is a critical development in addressing the needs of Balochistan’s underserved populations. The move expected to significantly improve the efficiency of registration processes, ensuring that all citizens, regardless of their location, have access to vital government services.
