The Al-Haramain Al-Sharifain Authority has announced that 3,000 people will be participating in a spiritual retreat, known as I’tikaf, at Masjid al-Haram. All necessary arrangements have been finalized for this significant event.
According to Abdulmohsen Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Director of Guidance Affairs and Field Guides at the authority, a special area has been prepared to accommodate these individuals, with space for 2,500 men and 500 women.
During their stay, participants will receive daily pre-dawn and sunset meals, adhering to health and dietary standards. They will also be provided with essential items such as blankets, pillows, and sleeping masks.
Medical facilities will be available on-site for both men and women, ensuring their well-being throughout the retreat period. Additionally, each participant will be assigned a personal locker to store their belongings securely.
For the last ten days of Ramadan, special educational sessions, Quranic circles, and guidance activities will be organized at designated locations within the premises.
Registration for I’tikaf commenced at the start of Ramadan on the Al-Haramain Al-Sharifain Authority’s website, allowing interested individuals to sign up for this spiritually enriching experience.
This initiative aims to provide a conducive environment for reflection, prayer, and spiritual growth during the holy month of Ramadan at one of Islam’s most revered sites, Masjid al-Haram.
