To honor 1965 Indo-Pak war heroes Pakistan Navy is celebrating 56th Pakistan Navy Day
Pakistan Navy Day celebrated every year on September 8 to recognize the sacrifices, passion and significant contribution of the Naval heroes in the September 1965 war. This day is a reminder of the unwavering determination and unparalleled courage of the Pakistan Navy. The day also commemorates the historic feat of the lone PN submarine Ghazi in 1965, who ruled high and remained at sea unchallenged throughout the war.
8th September is a golden chapter of history of the Pakistan Navy. It successfully conquered India’s maritime zone after planning, maneuvering and military operation. The operation was codename ‘SOMNATH’ by a Pakistan Navy strategist.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi shared a message to recognize the sacrifices, passion and outstanding contribution of the Navy heroes who embodied courage and bravery during the war.
The Arabian Sea became a battlefield several times during war between India and Pakistan. However, the Pakistan Navy is constantly proving its capabilities and has emerged as a powerful naval force.
