The much-awaited 773rd three-day Urs of the great Sufi saint Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar has officially begun, drawing thousands of devotees from across Pakistan. People from all walks of life are arriving in Sehwan to pay their respects and participate in the grand spiritual celebrations.
Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, whose real name was Syed Usman Marwandi, arrived in Sehwan, Sindh, nearly seven centuries ago. At that time, the region was shrouded in ignorance and misguidance. Through his teachings, he illuminated the hearts of the people with the message of Allah and His last Prophet (PBUH). Even today, millions visit Sehwan every year to honor his legacy and seek blessings.
The district administration has assured that all necessary arrangements for the three-day Urs have been completed. Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro, Ghazanfar Qadri, confirmed that special security measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of all attendees. The Urs celebrations will continue until February 19.

This year, the Governor and Chief Minister of Sindh will attend the event and present a ceremonial chadar at the shrine.
