In Karachi, the 8th Muharram procession will start from Nishtar Park at 1:30 PM today. To ensure safety, authorities have blocked off surrounding areas with containers, and police and Rangers personnel are on duty along the route. The entire procession will be monitored via CCTV cameras from a command and control room.
Under the guidance of Sadat Amroha, the procession will begin from Nishtar Park. Abul Hassan Scouts will lead the mourning procession. Medical camps set up by various organizations will provide assistance to participants. The procession will pass through Numaish, Tibet Center, and make a stop at the Napier Road Imambargah before ending at Hussainia Irania Kharadar.
All roads and streets along the procession route have been sealed with containers and tents for added security. CCTV cameras and sharpshooters positioned on tall buildings will ensure continuous surveillance. According to a police spokesperson, complete security will be provided to all mourners participating in the Muharram processions and gatherings.
