In a significant stride toward revolutionizing transportation, Punjab’s caretaker Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, is steering Lahore’s Lari Adda towards a futuristic transformation, resembling an airport-style terminal.
With a nod from the caretaker CM, a substantial investment of Rs. 9 billion has earmarked for the creation of a state-of-the-art bus terminal in the provincial capital. The chosen location for this groundbreaking endeavor is the former bus station in Badami Bagh.
Anticipating the needs of modern travelers, the envisioned bus terminal promises a host of contemporary amenities, encompassing thoughtfully designed bus bays, expansive roads for seamless traffic flow, well-appointed restrooms, and comfortable waiting areas. Elevating the project further, a grand seven-story parking plaza, valued at Rs. 4 billion and spanning 46 kanals, set to complement the bus terminal.
This meticulously planned plaza aims to accommodate a fleet of 700 cars, providing a convenient parking solution for commuters. To delve into the specifics and ensure a smooth execution, Deputy Commissioner of Lahore, Rafia Haider, has convened a meeting with relevant departments in the imminent days to deliberate on the intricacies of this mega project.
Worth highlighting is Mohsin Naqvi’s commitment to inaugurating transformative mega projects. In a testament to his vision, the caretaker CM unveiled several projects in November, including the Akbar Chowk Flyover, Cavalry Ground Underpass, Bedian Road Underpass, and Shahdara Flyover, collectively valued at billions.
