Islamabad: The hearing of Al Azizia, Flagship references against former PM and PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif adjourned till Tuesday.
Accountability Court heard Al Azizia, Flagship References against Nawaz Sharif today. However, he is incarcerated due to the Avenfield verdict. He was moved from Adiala Jail Rawalpindi to the court in Islamabad amid tight security.
However, Judge Arshad Malik, Accountability Court II Judge, is hearing the case against Nawaz Sharif.
Earlier, Supreme Court ordered six week extension today in the deadline to conclude remaining cases against Sharifs. However, Nawaz Sharif and his family members are facing Flagship Investment and Al-Azizia references.
A three member bench headed by CJP Saqib Nisar, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, and Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the Accountability Court II Judge Mohammad Arshad Malik’s petition. Earlier, Judge Malik requested Supreme Court to give extension for concluding remaining cases against Sharifs.
On August 31, the verdict against Sharif family is announced and petition against the suspension of Avenfield verdict is dismissed.
