Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) chief and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif started recording his statement in Al Azizia Reference.
Nawaz Sharif is recording statement in Al Azizia Reference as the Accountability Court judge Muhammad Arshad Malik started the hearing. The judge asked former PM that that if he held public offices.
However, Nawaz Sharif confirmed that he served as the opposition leader, finance minister, chief minister, and prime minister. He further added that he was in exile from 2000 to 2007 and did not hold the public office from 1999 to 2013.
Nawaz Sharif’s counsel showed objection on some questions mentioned in the questionnaire. However, Nawaz Sharif pointed out that some questions were solely based on the rumors while some others were ambiguous.
Earlier, CJP Saqib Nisar revealed that they had no option except to suspend Sharif family verdict by IHC. The 3 member bench led by CJP heard the petition filed by National Accountability Bureau or NAB.
However, NAB challenged the IHC verdict against the jail term of Capt (retd) Safdar, Mayram Nawaz, and Nawaz Sharif in the Avenfield Reference.
