Al Azizia Reference: Police stop media to ask questions from Nawaz Sharif

Police stopped media to ask questions from the PML-N chief and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as he appeared in Accountability Court in remaining corruption cases.

Nawaz Sharif was stopped to talk to media by Police. However, he appeared Accountability Court for the hearing of Al Azizia and Flagship references. The Accountability Court resumed the hearing of remaining corruption references against Nawaz Sharif and his family.

Last week, Nawaz appeared before the Accountability Court today in Al Azizia and Flagship References. Accountability court II Judge Arshad Malik heard the Flagship Investment and Al Azizia Steel Mills corruption cases. In addition, Nawazs counsel, Khawaja Haris, resumed cross-examining investigation officer Mehboob Alam.

On September 25, Khawaja Haris completed the cross-examination process of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) key witness Wajid Zia and Panamagate joint investigation team (JIT) head.

Earlier, Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended the jail term of former PM Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Captain (retd) Safdar in the Avenfield case.
