Aleema Khan foreign assets case directed to submit Rs 29.5 Mn

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar resumed the hearing in the Aleema Khan foreign assets case on Thursday (today).

In Aleema Khan foreign assets case, CJP Saqib Nisar ordered her to submit Rs 29.5 mn in fine and taxes. Imran Khan’s sister Aleema along with her lawyer Salman Akram Raja appeared before the court today. CJP Saqib Nisar headed the 3 member bench and heard the Aleema Khan foreign assets case.

He asked the PM Imran Khan’s sister that how much did she buy the property for. In reply she said that she bought it for the amount of $370,000. Aleema further added that she purchased it in 2008 and later sold it in 2017.

CJP Saqib Nisar inquired her that whether she bought it from her own money. However, she replied that 50% money was her own and she took the loan from bank for the remaining 50% amount.

The SC bench said that Aleema Khan can appeal against the decision. However, she should file income tax returns before that. CJP Saqib Nisar said that the property will be seized if she will failed to submit the deposit.
