Pakistani-American businessman Ali Shaikhani has made a significant gesture by announcing a car for Arshad Nadeem, the javelin thrower who made history at the Paris Olympics 2024 with a record-breaking performance. This announcement was shared in a video by Syed Zafar Abbas Jafri, a well-known social activist and head of JDC, which has quickly gone viral on social media.
In the video, Zafar Abbas congratulates Arshad Nadeem for winning a gold medal for Pakistan, highlighting the pride and joy he has brought to the nation during challenging times. He praised Nadeem’s dedication, saying that when he returns to Pakistan, a warm welcome and a brand new car, an Alto, will be awaiting him, courtesy of Ali Shaikhani.
Zafar Abbas also shared that Shaikhani plans to do even more for Arshad Nadeem, emphasizing that his arrival in Pakistan will be met with various gifts and celebrations. The video ended with a heartfelt message of gratitude towards Nadeem, whose exceptional performance has not only earned Pakistan a gold medal after 40 years but also marked the first time Pakistan has won gold in individual Olympic competitions.
Arshad Nadeem’s best throw of 92.97 meters set a new Olympic record, leaving all other competitors far behind, with no one else crossing the 90-meter mark. His final throw of 91.79 meters made him the only athlete to surpass 90 meters twice in a single competition, cementing his place in history and bringing immense pride to Pakistan.
