Anti encroachment operation in Karachi entered in 3rd phase in Arambagh


The anti encroachment operation in Karachi entered into new phase as Karachi Metropolitan Corporation or KMC will take the action.

KMC anti encroachment operation in Karachi will be launched against illegal shops in the Arambagh furniture market. However, the team will demolish the illegal shops that were operating from several years around the furniture market.

KMC also alerted the Rangers to provide assistance to anti encroachment team in case of any untoward situation or resistance.

Earlier, KMC submitted the report to commissioner Karachi, apprising about implementation on the directives of the Supreme Court regarding anti-encroachment operation in the city.

As per the report, as many as 2500 shops were razed at Empress Market and its adjoining Daudpota Road during the anti-encroachment drive. Similarly 480 illegal shops were demolished in the city’s Sohrab Goth Area. While 150 shops at Sarmad Shaheed Road were also bulldozed.
