Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has officially inaugurated the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program, aimed at providing affordable housing solutions to the people of Pakistan. The inauguration took place at the Commissioner’s Office in Dera Ghazi Khan, with provincial ministers, assembly members, and local dignitaries present. The event marked a significant step in the government’s efforts to address the housing needs of the population.
During the draw, the first beneficiary selected was a citizen named Abdul Latif. The chosen individuals under this program will start receiving the first installment of the loan by September 15. The initiative offers loans of up to 1.5 million rupees, with beneficiaries required to pay a monthly installment of 14,000 rupees over seven years, making homeownership more accessible to low-income families.
In her speech, Maryam Nawaz highlighted the importance of the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program, calling it Pakistan’s largest project aimed at improving the housing sector. She emphasized that the government remains committed to addressing the needs of its citizens and ensuring affordable housing for all.
