The Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) has put on hold its planned Arbaeen March in Pakistan after a seven point pledge following a meeting with the government and the Shia Ulema council. It affects the plans of Arbaeen 2025 Tour and Arbaeen 2025 packages from Pakistan.
Arbaeen 2025 Pakistan: Key Agreement Points
- No land travel for Arbaeen 2025: Pilgrims advised not to travel to Iraq via road this year due to security concerns.
- Special flight operations: Pakistan to Iraq flights will commence in 2 to 3 days with regard to Arbaeen 2025.
- Visa extension: Iraqi visas extended for up to 60 days in coordination with Iraqi authorities.
- Discounted tickets: Pilgrims holding valid Iraqi visas will be provided discounted airfares as part of Arbaeen 2025 packages from Pakistan.
- Student facilitation: The students trapped at the border can enter Iran to continue their travel.
- Refunds and support: Payments to tour operators of Arbaeen packages 2025 from Pakistan and transport companies will be refunded where applicable.
- Border policy: The Taftan–Rimdan border will remain open, but road travel discouraged this year.
A high-level committee will monitor the implementation of these measures for Arbaeen 2025 in Pakistan. Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, who mediated the talks, made the guarantor for fulfilling the agreement.
Air travel will replace road travel in the Arbaeen 2025 packages from Pakistan. Pilgrims should check updated flight schedules, available ticket discounts, and visa validity before making a reservation.
Governor Tessori declared that the routes to shrines of Hazrat Imam Ali (RA) and Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) cannot be sealed off and he re-committed to enabling pilgrims in the framework context agreed.
