The highly anticipated Aurat March 2025 scheduled for May 11 in Karachi and Mirpurkhas has been officially cancelled due to the escalating India-Pakistan conflict.
Following rising tensions sparked by a deadly attack in Indian-administered Kashmir, both nations have exchanged missile strikes, pushing the region into crisis. As a result, major events like the IPL 2025 and PSL 2025 have been suspended or moved abroad, and the Aurat March is the latest to be impacted.
Organizers cited security concerns as the key reason behind the cancellation, emphasizing the safety of participants. While this is a setback for the country’s largest women’s rights movement, earlier marches in Lahore (Feb 12), Multan (Feb 23), and Islamabad (March 8) were successfully held and celebrated.
As of now, there is no official announcement for a new date, but organizers have urged followers to stay connected through official channels for updates.
