Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz who were sentenced for jail in the Avenfield properties case a week ago has been put on the Exit Control List (ECL), Interior Ministry sources.
Presently in London, Nawaz and Maryam are expected to come back to Pakistan for July 13 (Friday).
Beforehand, the National Accountability Bureau had sent three letters to the interior requesting names of Nawaz and Maryam be put on ECL in February, June, and July however without much of any result.
The names of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz have been put on ECL following their conviction in the Avenfield reference, sources affirmed.
While they won’t face any trouble in coming to Pakistan, they are to arrested amid the immigration at the terminal according to standard prescribed methods for every one of those put on ECL.
