ISLAMABAD: Nawaz Sharif’s counsel Khawaja Haris has resumed giving the finishing arguments in the Avenfield Reference for the fourth day.
Khawaja Haris repeated his clients stance on the case, saying that Nawaz is not the owner of Avenfield properties. He also told the court that the prosecution of NAB has yet to prove that Nawaz Sharif is the owner.
He said that prosecution has to give proof that his client is the beneficial owner of the flats. Other wise talking about the source of income to buy the properties and other things cannot be argued.
Khawaja Haris also told the court that its incomprehensible as to whats the connection of Nawaz having taken a salary from Capital FZE and Avenfield case.
The Avenfield reference is one of the three cases undergoing in the accountability court of Judge Mohammad Bashir.
The other two cases pertain to Al-Azizia Steel Mills and Hill Metal Establishment along with offshore companies.
