Avenfield Verdict: IHC rejected NAB’s delay request in Nawaz Sharif’s plea

Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) request to delay Nawaz Sharif’s Avenfield verdict plea for 2 days.

IHC dismissed NAB’s plea to adjourn the hearing for 2 days of Nawaz Sharif’s petition against the Avenfield verdict. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Athar Minallah are the IHC bench members who heard the case today.

IHC heard the plea of Nawaz Sharif and his family against Avenfield verdict today. Earlier, court accepted the Nawaz Sharif’s application to transfer Flagship Investment and Al Aziziz references from Judge Muhammad Bashir to another court. Nawaz Sharif’s counsel, Khawaja Haris submitted the plea to transfer Flagship and Al Azizia references to another judge.


During that hearing, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Deputy Prosecutor General Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi revealed that Nawaz Sharif would be freed if Hussain Nawaz will accept the London flats corruption.

IHC later decided to club appeals filed by Sharif family against Avenfield verdict with Nawaz’s appeal to transfer Flagship and Al Azizia Reference to another judge.
