Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar instructed Malik Riaz to pay Rs 1 trillion for illegal encroachments in Islamabad.

CJP Saqib Nisar ordered Malik Riaz to pay Rs 1 trillion for Bahria Enclave Islamabad encroachment. However, it is due to his encroachment of government land in Islamabad during the Margalla Hills deforestation case hearing.

Saqib Nisar said that Bahria Enclave Islamabad is built on a national park that is a government owned land. In addition, he also ordered to pay Rs 1000 billion for the illegal encroachment.

However, in reply, Malik Riaz remarked that he does not even possess Rs 100 billion. He further added that even the United States will not possess that much amount.

CJP Saqib Nisar asked that if Malik Riaz does not possess money who does. He further added that the owner of Bahria Town has the money of entire Pakistan.

However, the court proceedings were later adjourned till the next hearing. The subsequent hearing will be held on October 1.
