The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) Gulberg Town with regard to construction of the largest NADRA Mega Centre in Karachi. The contract was signed between NADRA and Gulberg Town authorities to increase the availability of registration and documentation services to the population.
As per the plan, the NADRA Mega Centre Karachi will operate six days per week and offer 24-hours services to the citizens. The facility will come with different service counters such as passports, Thalassemia tests, arms license, and the elderly to make the process simpler and less time-consuming to wait.
Also, the NADRA Zonal Office of the District Central will be based in the same NADRA Mega Centre of Karachi, which would guarantee efficiency in administration and a further reach to the residents.
The new centre will primarily serve residents of F.B. Area and Liaquatabad, while also extending services to people from Ayesha Manzil, Sakhi Hassan, North Nazimabad, and New Karachi. Gulberg Town Chairman Nusratullah added that the biggest NADRA Mega Centre in Karachi will further facilitate citizens from District East, including Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
This partnership between NADRA and TMC Gulberg Town is intended to promote the service delivery to people and provide its 24/7 presence of the necessary documentation facilities to the Karachi residents.
