LAHORE: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that parliament is authorized to summon anyone if needed to do so. But he said that he will not partake in using parliament for individual needs.
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has said that the parliament is an authorized institution. He added that since its an authorized institute of the country it can summon anyone.
However; he said he refused to partake in summoning NAB Chairman to the Assembly. He said that he will not use the power of the parliament for one individual’s sake. Bilawal said he will not be part of a demand to summon the NAB Chairman for case of individual nature.
This statement was a response to the Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s, demand to summon NAB chairman to Assembly. NAB chairman had alleged that Nawaz Sharif had laundered $4.9 billion to the rival state of India. The allegations were placed after a World Bank report that cited that Indian treasury had suddenly received the amount of money in 2016.
However; World Bank claims it did not point any fingers to any individual or use the word money laundering. But NAB chairman said that some media reports had cited the World Bank report to create their own report. The media reports had claimed that Nawaz Sharif had allegedly sent $4.9 billion during his time as Prime Minister. PM Khaqan Abbasi had said that NAB Chairman’s claims were tantamount to throwing mud on Pakistan. Saying that the allegations that the NAB chairman leveled were on Three time office holder not any ordinary person.
While talking about the Former Prime Minister’s “aliens”, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Mian Nawaz Sharif should clarify his position. If not then he should stay back at home instead of talking about such strange things.
He added that Nawaz Sharif’s Childish politics is putting democracy at risk. He said that Mian Nawaz sharif is endangering the entire democratic system with his political ways.
