In a significant development to improve service accessibility and empower women across Pakistan, Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), inaugurated the BISP Tehsil Office in Bhera on Monday. This expansion is part of BISP’s wider effort to ensure transparent financial aid disbursement, streamlined registration, and economic empowerment of low-income families.

The event attended by PPP Secretary Information Nadeem Afzal Gondal Chan, several party leaders, and local BISP beneficiaries, especially women.

BISP Payments 2025: Ensuring Transparency and Dignity

During her speech, Senator Rubina Khalid highlighted that BISP is now serving over 10 million families across Pakistan, offering uninterrupted and transparent cash transfers through verified channels. She reaffirmed that all BISP beneficiaries receive official communication via the 8171 SMS service, and any message from another number should considered fraudulent.

She emphasized that corruption and irregularities in BISP payments will not tolerated, and any complaints will dealt with firmly. This ensures beneficiaries receive their entitled quarterly payments in a dignified and secure manner.

In line with Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s vision, Senator Rubina Khalid introduced the Benazir Hunarmand Programme, focusing on technical training and skill development for youth and women. This initiative aims to make families economically independent and reduce long-term dependency on aid.
