BISP Launches New Retailer-Based Payment System: Collect Cash from Local Shops

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has officially launched the BISP new payment system in July 2025. The new method is retailer-based, allowing beneficiaries to collect cash payments directly from registered local shops using biometric verification.

From July 2025 onward, eligible BISP beneficiaries will no longer need to visit remote camps or wait in long queues. Instead, the new BISP payment system enables direct cash disbursement through authorized retail agents across Pakistan.

How to Collect Payments via the BISP New Payment System

  1. Check Payment Status
    • Beneficiaries will receive an SMS from 8171 or can check their status via the BISP web portal.
  2. Visit Approved Retailer
    • Go to the designated local shop mentioned in the SMS or verified through the portal.
  3. Bring Original CNIC
    • Present your original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) at the retail outlet.
  4. Biometric Verification
    • Fingerprint scanning is required through a Point-of-Sale (PoS) device linked with NADRA.
  5. Collect Cash Payment
    • Once verified, you will receive the full cash amount along with a printed receipt showing transaction details.
