The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has officially launched the BISP new payment system in July 2025. The new method is retailer-based, allowing beneficiaries to collect cash payments directly from registered local shops using biometric verification.
From July 2025 onward, eligible BISP beneficiaries will no longer need to visit remote camps or wait in long queues. Instead, the new BISP payment system enables direct cash disbursement through authorized retail agents across Pakistan.
How to Collect Payments via the BISP New Payment System
- Check Payment Status
- Those benefitting will be reached through an SMS with the number being 8171 or checking their status through the BISP web portal.
- Visit Approved Retailer
- Visit the identified local store recommended in the SMS or checked in the portal.
- Bring Original CNIC
- Hand your original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) at the retail store.
- Biometric Verification
- It must be scanned in the form of fingerprints using a Point-of-Sale (PoS) connected to NADRA.
- Collect Cash Payment
- Upon verification, the entire cash will be issued to you with printed receipt with details of transactions.
- Report Issues
- Whether due to errors or complaints, get in touch with the BISP helpline number 0800-26477 or the local BISP office.

The BISP new payment system is for:
- Household in villages with income below Rs. 50,000 per annum
- Female-headed families
- Widows
- Individuals with disability
- Senior citizens
- Transgender individuals
