In recent news, it has been decided that the Karachi business owners will close markets at 8 pm. The decision is a result of rising inflation and to save on increasing energy crises in the country.
Muhammad Iqbal Memon, Commissioner Karachi held a meeting with the business owners and city administration at his office. He said that amid fuel hikes, the federal government wants to save energy. Other than a mutual accord was also set among the traders. After a consulting meeting, he proclaimed the closure of the market at 8 pm, wedding halls at 10 pm, and restaurants at 11 pm in Karachi.
Furthermore, the commissioner added that trade associations have displayed their full cooperation under energy-saving measures. In a meeting that was chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and attended by the chief ministers of the provinces had respected the step taken by the federal government to deal with the energy crisis.
