By-elections in Pakistan will be held on October 14, ECP


Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) released By-elections 2018 schedule in Pakistan.

ECP revealed that by-elections in Pakistan will be held on October 14. However, returning officers of related constituencies will issue public notices on August 27 in this regard.

The submission date of By-elections nomination papers is from August 28 to 30. However, the initial candidates list will be issued on August 31. Later, ECP will review the filed nomination papers until September 4.

Another candidates’ list will be published on September 14 after the review. However, September 15 is the last date to withdraw nomination papers. The final list will be released on September 16 with the respective electoral symbols.

By-elections will be held on 19 provincial assembly and 11 National Assembly seats. NA-35, NA-53, NA-60, NA-63, NA-65, NA-69, NA-103, NA-124, NA-131 and NA-243 are the National Assembly constituencies.

Yesterday, ECP also revealed the presidential election schedule. The presidential election voting will be held on September 4 in provincial assemblies and the National Assembly.
