ISLAMABAD: Former CJP Nasir-ul-Mulk has been announced as the caretaker PM by PM Abbasi and Opposition Leader in meeting today.
The name of Former CJP, Nasir-ul-Mulk has been finalized and nominated as caretaker PM today.
In a press conference, Khursheed Shah announced that Justice Mulk will be handling state affairs in absence of ruling government. In the press conference, PM Khaqan Abbasi and Speaker Assembly Ayaz Sadiq were also present.
People are claiming this as a victory of democracy that a consensus was reached.
Addressing the media PM Abbasi said that a candidate has been decided for caretaker premier who will prove to play a democratic role in the upcoming general election.
Khursheed Shah thanked the National Assembly speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in helping for selection of caretaker premier.
He said that it was a challenge for all of parliamentarians. Shah also said all names that that were given for caretaker PM were of credible and respectable individuals. He added that both the parties tried to make a decision that would be acceptable to the nation and Parliament.
Khursheed Shah then announced that former CJP Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk has been nominated to be caretaker PM of Pakistan.
