Chehlum (Arbaeen) 2024: Pillion Riding Ban on August 26th

The Sindh government has taken precautionary measures for the upcoming Chehlum of the Martyrs of Karbala by imposing a province-wide ban on motorcycle pillion riding. This decision, aimed at ensuring public safety and maintaining peace, will be in effect on Monday, August 26, across multiple cities including Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah, Sukkur, and Larkana.

In addition to the pillion riding ban, the use of drone cameras has also been prohibited during the Chehlum. The Sindh Home Department has issued strict instructions to all Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to enforce these measures.

With these restrictions in place, the Sindh government is prioritizing the security of its citizens during this significant religious event. All relevant authorities are expected to ensure full compliance with the ban, contributing to a safe and peaceful observance of Chehlum across the province.
