ISLAMABAD: CJP Saqib Nisar ordered government authorities to submit a monthly salary certificate of the staff. The certificate should state all the government employees have been paid on time.

CJP Saqib Nisar ordered this while hearing a case of non-payment of employees of Capital Development Authority (CDA). While hearing the non-payment of salary of the employees of the government department, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar, said that he will not take his monthly salary unless every government employee has been paid his monthly dues.

During the hearing CDA Chairman, Usman Bajwa, said that the employees get paid after an audit is conducted. The employees were paid on the 4th of May, after the audit had been conducted. Chief Justice ordered CDA Chairman to present a certificate in the court in this matter.

CJP Saqib Nisar then said that the Prime Minister should present a monthly certificate of payment to government employees. He said he will only take his own monthly salary after every employee of the government has been paid. The CJP then expressed grief over the fact that employees sometime do not get paid even as late as 24th of next month.
