CM KPK Sohail Afridi to Arrive in Karachi Today; PTI Rally Expected on Sunday

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Khan Afridi, arrives in Karachi today on a high profile three day tour. He is leading a PTI senior delegation and he is trying to mobilize workers and also conveying the message of Imran Khan in Sindh. The trip involves big rallies, media interactions as well as discussions with influential political and business leaders.
Sohail Afridi Karachi Visit: Day One Activities
Chief Minister Sohail Khan Afridi to arrive at Karachi Airport today, Friday, January 9. Party Secretary General Salman Akram Raja and Provincial Minister Meena Khan Afridi accompany him. Parliamentary Leader Shahid Khattak and Minister Shafi Jan also join the delegation.
The CM has a busy schedule ahead. He will address a “Meet the Press” session at the Karachi Press Club at 4:30 pm. This session offers a platform to discuss the party’s current political strategy. Later, he will lead rallies through District Malir, Korangi, and South Karachi. These street movements aim to re-energize the local party base.
Political Mobilization and Hyderabad Tour
This Sohail Afridi Karachi visit extends beyond the provincial capital. On Saturday, the Chief Minister travels to Hyderabad. He will meet local leaders and address the High Court Bar Association. The delegation plans to interact with journalists and farmers to discuss regional issues.
PTI Rally in Karachi
The tour concludes on Sunday with a visit to Mazar-i-Quaid. PTI has requested permission for a major rally at Jinnah Garden. This visit follows a recent trip to Lahore, where the CM faced administrative hurdles. This time, the Sindh government has promised full protocol and security for the KP Chief Executive.
A formal meeting between the KP and Sindh Chief Ministers may happen on Monday. They plan to discuss inter-provincial coordination and health card facilities for KP residents in Karachi.
