The Punjab government has launched the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025, offering free laptops to high-achieving students across the province. This initiative aims to promote education and research by providing modern technology to deserving students.
How Many Laptops Will Be Distributed?
The Punjab government plans to distribute 50,000 laptops, with 2,000 laptops allocated each year. These will be awarded to Matric and Intermediate students who have achieved exceptional results.
Laptop Specifications
Under the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme, students will receive 13th-generation Core i7 laptops. The initiative is designed to support digital learning and academic excellence. Additionally, minority students and top scorers from Matric and Intermediate will also be eligible.
Who Will Receive the Laptops?
- 20,000 laptops for university students
- 14,000 laptops for college students
- 4,000 laptops for technical and agricultural college students
- 2,000 laptops for medical and dental college students
- 32% of the total laptops will be given to students from South Punjab

How to Apply for CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025?
There is no online application required for the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025. Instead, educational institutions will compile the data of eligible students and submit it to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab. The HEC will then release the list of selected students.
Laptop Distribution Schedule
- Registration begins in February 2025
- Laptop distribution will start in April or May 2025 after Ramadan
- CM Maryam Nawaz has confirmed that the first batch of laptops has already arrived in Pakistan
Laptop Distribution Events
The Punjab government will hold distribution ceremonies at various locations under the “Hunarmand Scholarship Program.” These events will ensure a transparent and fair distribution process.
