CNG stations in Karachi reopened today after 24 hours


Compressed natural gas or CNG stations in Karachi are now opened after 24 hours.

CNG stations in Karachi reopened at 8 am on Tuesday (today). However, they closed at 8 am on Monday. Earlier that, CNG stations in Karachi were closed for 6 days before their reopening on Saturday.

On Saturday, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Federal Minister for Petroleum revealed that the gas supply in Sindh is now restored to the CNG sector.

Earlier, SSGC spokesperson revealed the news on Friday that gas supply in Karachi will be improved in the next 2 days. He said that gas supply from fielders improved and the supply is expected to enhance in the upcoming days.

Last week, Sui Southern Gas Company or SSGC announced to stop the gas supply to captive power plants and CNG stations. Later, PM Imran Khan dissolved the board of directors of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL). However, the CNG crisis in Karachi resulted in the public transport strike for the whole week.
