According to the Meteorological Department, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s plain areas, and upper Sindh will be affected by dense fog. Additionally, the Pothohar region and Kashmir may experience mist during the morning hours.

In the past 24 hours, most parts of the country witnessed cold and dry weather, with severe cold and partly cloudy conditions in the northern areas. Dense fog and smog gripped Punjab, upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s plain areas.

The lowest temperatures recorded on Sunday were as follows:
- Gupis: -6°C
- Leh, Kalam, Skardu: -5°C
- Gilgit and Quetta: -4°C
- Rawalakot: -3°C
Dense Fog Advisory
The Meteorological Department warns that Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh’s plain areas will be under the grip of dense fog for the next two days. Citizens are advised to exercise caution, and due to the dense fog, daytime temperatures in Punjab are expected to remain below normal.
Motorway Closures Due to Fog
- Motorway M3 (Faisalpur to Darkhana) and Lahore-Sialkot motorway are closed due to dense fog.
- Motorway M4 (Shorkot to Faisalabad) and M5 (Shire Shah to Zahir Pir) are also affected by fog.
The motorway police emphasize that these closures are implemented for the safety and security of the people, urging road users to prefer daytime travel.
