Accountability Court on Wednesday (today) is likely to reserve verdict against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the remaining references.
Verdict against Nawaz Sharif would be reserved by Accountability Court today. However, the verdict will be about the remaining corruption cases. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) also concluded the arguments in Flagship Investment reference. However, earlier this month, NAB had also end the arguments in Al Azizia reference.
Earlier, Nawaz Sharif appeared before the Accountability Court in Flagship and Al-Azizia reference against him and the Sharif family. However, he trial against Nawaz Sharif and family began in September 2017.
A three member bench headed by CJP Saqib Nisar, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, and Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the Accountability Court II Judge Mohammad Arshad Malik’s petition. Earlier, Judge Malik requested Supreme Court to give extension for concluding remaining cases against Sharifs.
In August, the verdict against Sharif family is announced and petition against the suspension of Avenfield verdict is dismissed. Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Shahid Jameel Khan, and Justice Aatir Mehmood announced the verdict against Sharif family.
