Chairman PEMRA Muhammad Saleem Baig called on DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor emphasized on facilitating media for portraying positive image of Pakistan.
The PEMRA chief and DG ISPR discussed measures to facilitate Pakistani media in projecting a positive image of Pakistan, the ISPR statement read.
The two biggies also discussed ways of facilitating the local media in effectively countering anti-Pakistan narrative at play through certain foreign media/inimical forces, the statement added.
A day earlier, a delegation of journalists from Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Kashmir and Hazara Division visited the ISPR and interacted with its Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor.
According to a statement by ISPR, journalists shared their feedback on security situation and development work undertaken by the Pakistan Army.
The DG ISPR apprised them about the situation along the Line of Control and Indian Ceasefire Violations, including deliberately targeting of innocent civilians from across the frontier dividing the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The DG ISPR said that Pakistan looks for peace yet any misadventure shall be given befitting reply.
