In a high-level press conference held on Sunday, DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry delivered a detailed account of Pakistan’s robust military response under Operation Bunyan Al Marsoos, launched following Indian military provocations. The briefing was attended by senior military leaders including Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed of the Pakistan Air Force and Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz of the Pakistan Navy.
Pakistan Launches Precise Strikes Across Indian Military Targets
According to the DG ISPR, Pakistan targeted 26 Indian military installations across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) and mainland India. Key Indian Air Force bases in Suratgarh, Sirsa, Adampur, Bhuj, Nalia, Bathinda, Ambala, Avantipura, and Srinagar were struck. The strikes also destroyed BrahMos missile facilities and S-400 defense systems at Adampur and Bhuj.
“Pakistan’s response was precise, deliberate, and restrained – targeting only military objectives,” stated DG ISPR.
Ethical Warfare: No Civilian Casualties
DG ISPR reiterated that Pakistan upheld Islamic and military ethics by avoiding civilian areas, infrastructure, and non-military assets. “Even Indian sources have not claimed civilian casualties – our objective was strictly military,” he added.
India Requested Ceasefire First, Not Pakistan
Dismissing claims from Indian media, Lt Gen Chaudhry clarified that India requested de-escalation first during the night of May 6-7. Pakistan responded after a successful counter-operation on May 10.
“Let me make it clear – Pakistan never asked for a ceasefire. India approached us after facing a decisive response,” he said.
Advanced Missile, Drone, and Cyber Warfare Displayed
Operation Bunyan Al Marsoos showcased Pakistan’s multi-domain warfare capabilities, including:
- Fateh F-1 and F-2 long-range missiles
- High-end loitering munitions
- Advanced cyber attacks disrupting Indian military systems
- Pakistani drones over New Delhi, signaling technological reach and deterrence
Indian Drone Strikes and Proxy Terrorism Foiled
Pakistan’s air defense systems intercepted 84 Indian drones, while Indian-backed proxy attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan were swiftly neutralized. The DG ISPR accused India of targeting Pakistani civilians using drones, violating international norms.
Full Tri-Services Coordination: Army, Navy, Air Force in Sync
The briefing emphasized inter-service coordination in the joint operation. Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb termed it the largest PAF operation since 1971, while Vice Admiral Nawaz confirmed Indian naval assets, including the INS Vikrant, were deterred from approaching Pakistani waters.
Message to the World: Pakistan Avoids War, Maintains Readiness
Lt Gen Chaudhry sent a clear message that Pakistan does not seek full-scale war but is fully capable of defending its sovereignty:
“In a nuclear neighborhood, full-scale war is madness. Pakistan responded with conventional force, demonstrating restraint and strength.”
National Unity and Media Support Praised
DG ISPR expressed gratitude to the Pakistani public, political parties, media, and especially the youth, calling their unity a “force multiplier” in resisting Indian propaganda and disinformation campaigns.
Fake News Alert: No Indian Pilot in Custody
Dispelling rumors on social media, the DG ISPR clarified that “Pakistan has no Indian pilot in custody.” He condemned such rumors as part of a broader Indian misinformation strategy
Pakistan’s Operation Bunyan Al Marsoos has sent a strong, calculated message: the country is not only capable of precise and ethical retaliation but also fully committed to regional stability without compromising on national security.
