MQM–Pakistan leader Dr. Farooq Sattar will be contesting General Elections 2018 from three constituencies as announced on Saturday.
While talking to media, Dr. Farooq Sattar said,
“I am submitting my nomination papers for the upcoming general election from NA-241, NA-245 and NA-247.”
Dr. Farooq Sattar said that his party is not given “political freedom”. He also said that one hundred and sixty-five missing persons of his party are not recovered yet. He further demanded for re-opening of the party offices.
Dr. Farooq Sattar further said, “The practice of cornering us needs to end.” Commenting on minus one formula theory, he said, it was okay till minus-one formula but if we are uncertain of minus-MQM formula then we can go to the extent of taking any decision.
He further clarified, “I never said I would boycott elections.”
Criticizing the recently sworn-in interim set-up for Sindh, Dr. Farooq Sattar suspected that most cabinet members are Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) supporters.
