E Challan Karachi: Which Roads Are Still Camera-Free?

The e- ticketing system is being updated and Sindh traffic authorities are explaining the rules to Karachi motorists. Authorities confirm that there are no challans on bad roads and declare relief to first time violators. The e-ticket system will keep evolving in an effort to enhance traffic control and safety in Karachi and other Sindh district.

Sindh Traffic Authorities Clarify E-Challan Rules Amid Public Concerns

The Sindh government faces criticism over the new e-ticketing system. Motorists in Karachi raised concerns over strict fines and road conditions.

DIG Traffic Police Pir Muhammad Shah said traffic challans will not be issued on roads in poor condition. Authorities aim to keep enforcement fair while acknowledging the city’s infrastructure challenges.

First-Time Offender Relief Approved

A senior Sindh official confirmed Chief Minister Sindh approved relief for first-time violators. Motorists can get fines waived within ten days if they submit a written apology in person. Officials expect to announce reduced fines for certain violations by the end of this month.

The initiative is aimed at striking the right balance between enforcement and fairness since the authorities acknowledge that the imposition of heavy fines cannot change the attitude of the traffic.

E-Challan System to Expand

Although relief measures are in place the e-ticket system will still be in operation. It is proposed that authorities should extend e-challan to cover Karachi and other Sindh districts in order to enhance control over traffic. It is also a part of a larger plan to enhance safety on major routes and accountability.

Traffic police encourage drivers to abide by the rules and act upon e-challan tickets. It is targeted at organized enforcement, increased awareness, and road safety measures and fair fines.
