E-Passport Fee in Pakistan for 2024: Enhancing Accessibility and Efficiency

In a significant move towards providing greater convenience to Pakistani citizens, the Government has introduced a streamlined fee structure for e-Passports, effective January 2024. This initiative aims to not only simplify the application process but also make e-Passports more accessible to a wider demographic.

Key Changes in E-Passport Fees:

Citizens desiring a 72-page e-Passport with a five-year validity will incur a fee of Rs15,000, while the ten-year validity option is available at a fixed fee of Rs24,000.

The revamped fee structure ensures uniformity across all provinces in Pakistan, promoting consistency and fairness for all applicants. This move aligns with the government’s commitment to providing equal access to essential travel documents.

Starting this year, the regular fee for a 36-page e-Passport with a five-year validity period is set at a reasonable Rs9,000. For those opting for a decade-long validity, the fee is a nominal Rs13,000.

Designed to cater to a broader demographic, the updated fee system aligns with the government’s dedication to facilitating citizens in obtaining this crucial travel document. The revised fees aim to make e-Passports more accessible to a wider audience.

The new fee structure provides clarity and predictability for applicants, allowing them to plan and budget accordingly. This transparency contributes to a more straightforward and user-friendly application process.

The streamlined fees expected to contribute to a more efficient processing system, reducing unnecessary delays and expediting passport issuance. This initiative aligns with the government’s goal of creating a hassle-free experience for passport applicants.

As we welcome the new year, the government’s initiative to standardize e-Passport fees marks a significant step towards a more user-friendly and efficient passport issuance system. Pakistani citizens encouraged to take advantage of the updated fee structure, simplifying the process and contributing to a seamless travel experience. This commitment reinforces the government’s dedication to ensuring that obtaining an e-Passport is hassle-free and accessible for all citizens.
