ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rejected remarks of PM Abbasi’s remarks that ‘aliens’ will conduct upcoming elections. ECP said that such remarks are against the spirit of the Constitution.
ECP said it is ready to conduct the General Elections and is independent when it comes to its constitutional responsibilities. An ECP spokesperson cautioned the people holding high offices to avoid making such comments, which are based on speculation. The ECP pointed towards PM Abbasi and said that the high office holders should be more responsible than this.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, while talking to the media had said that aliens will hold the next elections. He said even though outside beings are going to hold the election even then the ruling party will win them.
