Elections 2018: Today is Last Day for Candidates to Withdraw Nominations


Today is last day of candidates to withdraw their nomination to contest elections 2018.

According to the schedule issued by the ECP for the general elections 2018, today is the last day of withdrawing nominations. After which a revised list of candidates will be issued later on in today’s date.

ECP has also asked candidates to submit their party affiliation certificates, failure to do so will declare them independent candidates. For a candidate to contest with party symbol, party ticket must be submitted to the ECP by today.

Parties will be allotted the electoral symbol of their choice. The date for the polls for general elections is 25th of July.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s appeal against the tribunal verdict will be heard today in Lahore High Court. The verdict for the ex-PM’s appeal is expected today as well.

Earlier on, an Appellate tribunal had declared disqualification of the former premier from contesting polls from NA-57 Murree.
