Fake Accounts Case: Zardari, Bilawal appear before NAB today


Former President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appeared before the National Accountability Bureau or NAB in fake accounts case on Wednesday (today).

In fake accounts case, Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto appeared before NAB today. However, NAB has summoned both PPP leaders in Park Lane Estate investigation.

Bilawal and his father were questioned by 2 investigation teams comprising 16 NAB officers. However, Zardari  was questioned by 11 officers, while 5 officers questioned Bilawal. A questionnaire was also issued to both PPP leaders.

During the last week, the banking court in Karachi ordered case’s transfer to Islamabad. They also summoned Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari on March 20.

Yesterday, Sindh High Court ordered the 10 day protective bail to Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur. However, the court rejected the request regarding the stay order against the court’s decision allowing NAB to transfer the fake accounts case to Rawalpindi.

SHC bench also issued notices to DG NAB Karachi office and NAB prosecutor summoning response within seven days. The bench further revealed that a decision on the matter will be taken after listening to all parties in the case.
