The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) issued $5,000 cash-carrying limitations for international travel on Tuesday.
To address the issue of declining foreign reserves, the federal government built annual limit of $30,000 for passengers over the age of 18. For under 18 $15,000 are set to bring with them if traveling overseas. In the case of Afghanistan the restriction is set at $6,000.

According to the FBR, the yearly limitations for outgoing passengers will implement at the beginning of 2023. However, the existing yearly restrictions in force before the issue of this notification will applied until December 31, 2022.
The major goal of the modified restrictions was to limit the number of US dollars that travelers might bring with them each year. If they did not surpass the limits they can carry the amount without any restrictions.
Similarly, people under the age of 18 might bring $2,500 with them if they travel overseas with their parents or relatives. They can carry this much on each trip, but the yearly maximum was set at $15,000.

Previously, the administrators noted that, a person could travel overseas with a certain amount of foreign money on each trip, but there was some misunderstanding because there was no yearly restriction in place.
The FBR also specified that anybody leaving Pakistan with foreign cash or any other forbidden or restricted item must file a declaration before or at the time of departure, either electronically in the WeBOC or manually at the airport.
