Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) revealed that Frontier Corps (FC) succeeded to foil major terror bid in Balochistan.
According to ISPR, FC foiled major terrorism bid in Balochistan’s Zhob district ahead of Muharram. 21 Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) weighing 235 KGs were captured from the border town of Qamar Din Karaiz.
ISPR further revealed that these IEDs were to be utilized in attacks on Muharram processions. However, the law enforcement agencies also enhanced their efforts to enhance security during the holy month of Muharram.
First day of Muharram in Pakistan will be on Wednesday, September 12. However, Ashura, 10th Muharram will be on Friday, September 21.
Religious gatherings and Mourning processions are held across Pakistan at large level amid beefed up security.
