In a significant development for aviation enthusiasts and travelers, Fly Jinnah, a cost-effective airline backed by the Lakson Group and Air Arabia Group of the UAE, has been granted permission to expand its services to international routes. The government’s decision, as announced by the caretaker Information Minister, Murtaza Solangi, comes after a recommendation from the Aviation Ministry and approval from the Federal Cabinet.
Fly Jinnah currently operates domestic flights connecting major cities across Pakistan, such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta. The airline has earned a notable reputation for its impressive on-time departure rate, boasting an impressive 87.93%, which surpasses that of many other carriers.
With this green light for international operations, Fly Jinnah is poised to connect Pakistan to various global destinations. While specific international routes are yet to be disclosed, potential destinations include Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait. Additionally, Fly Jinnah might extend its services to countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Malaysia, Thailand, and Turkiye.
This expansion not only enhances travel options for passengers but also contributes to the growth of the aviation industry, further cementing Fly Jinnah’s position as a prominent player in the airline sector.
