FM Qureshi Confident as PM Khan and Delegations Return From Productive China Visit

On Monday, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed his confidence on his Twitter account right after Prime Minister Imran Khan and delegations of Pakistani advisers and ministers returned from the China visit.

FM Qureshi termed the China Visit as “productive” and added that China and Pakistan share an unbreakable bond.

“Collaboration and mutually beneficial policies will pave the way forward for future generations,” he wrote.

Previously, Imran Khan had spoken at the opening ceremony of International Import Expo which took place in Shanghai. The expo marked the fifth day of his first official visit to China ever since he took over the position of Pakistan’s Prime Minister.

Khan mentioned that the PTI government is focused on improving transparency and accountability processes in Pakistan. The government is also making sure to make the country more conducive for business and investment by starting up fruitful reforms.

The PM expressed how although Pakistan is blessed with countless resources – from minerals to fertile land and renewable energy – along with beautiful landscapes with some of the 12 climatic zones.

Khan also thanked China for its hospitality, and said that Pakistan is happy with President Xi Jinping�s statement on Pak-China relationship.

While talking about the expo, Khan said that it would help in increasing free trade among economies.

The group that traveled with Prime Minister Imran Khan to Beijing included Asad Umar (minister of finance), Khusro Bakhtiar (minister of planning), Shah Mehmood Qureshi (minister of foreign affairs), and Sheikh Rashid (minister of railways). The team also had Abdul Razak Dawood, who is Imran Khan’s advisor for commerce, industries production, textiles, and investment, and apart from them, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal also joined the visit.
