Commander-In-Chief of Islamic Alliance against Terrorism and Retired General Raheel Sharif met PM Imran Khan today.
During the meeting, the two alleged personalities discussed international security and the measures taken to counter terrorism in Pakistan.
General Raheel Sharif also called foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi today.
The two i.e. Qureshi and General talked about the measures taken to reduce the terrorism and regional peace and some other important mutual interests.
FM Qureshi lauded the efforts of the coalition forces to establish peace and stability in the region, the statement added.
General met Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani
Gen Sharif also met Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani at the latter’s chamber at the Parliament House. The meeting was attended by members of Senate and IMCTC.
“COAS appreciated the efforts of Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition towards regional peace and security,” the ISPR added.
The former army chief is leading a delegation of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition on its maiden visit to Pakistan.
On Monday, he met Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. A press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that “matters of mutual interest including regional peace and stability” were discussed during Gen Sharif’s meeting with Gen Bajwa.
