Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport witnessed a fire in former SSP Rao Anwar’s double-cabin vehicle on Monday. The vehicle was parked inside airport limits when flames erupted, reportedly due to a short circuit.
Everyone, including the family of Rao Anwar, was evacuated safely. Police and firefighting departments stationed at the airport arrived in time. The officers of the police in the vehicle assisted in controlling the fire before it continued spreading.
Airport authorities confirmed that the fire was contained swiftly. No injuries were reported. Officials said the occupants’ quick actions and coordination with the airport fire brigade prevented serious damage.
