At least four persons were killed and 14 others injured during an explosion late Thursday at the Science College ground�s main gate located on Jinnah Road in Quetta.
Police said the bomb exploded off near a vehicle. Witnesses informed the reporter that windows of buildings situated nearby were broken.
Security forces personnel and rescue services reached the bomb site and cordoned it off. The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta.
Nature of the blast remains unidentified so far. Investigation is still underway.
Hospital sources said three of the injured persons are in critical condition and might be shifted to Karachi for further medical treatment.
Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo took notice of the incident. He has instructed IG Balochistan to submit a report related to the blast.
Advisor to the CM has also been told to undertake measures to step up security in the province.
