Free Meals for Government School Students: New Program Launching Soon

Preparations for the Prime Minister’s School Meals Program in Islamabad’s government schools have been finalized, with the program set to launch on August 5. This initiative will benefit 57,000 students from 200 government primary schools across the city.

The primary goal of the program is to increase school enrollment and attendance by attracting children who are not currently in the school system. It aims to improve the overall health and nutrition of these students by providing them with nutritious meals.

The program also includes monitoring students’ health through Body Mass Index (BMI) measurements to ensure they are receiving the proper nutrition. This effort is expected to enhance the well-being of students and support their academic performance by addressing their dietary needs.
