Free Rashan Bags Delivered to 64,000 Hafizabad Residents by Neghban Ramzan Program

The Neghban Ramzan Program, an initiative by Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has launched its Rashan distribution in Hafizabad district. The program, valued at Rs. 64 billion, aims to aid 64,000 underprivileged individuals in the district.

Deputy Commissioner of Hafizabad, Sundas Irshad, while overseeing the packing and distribution process, highlighted that this initiative marks a first in the country’s history. The Rashan bags, containing ten kg of flour, two kg each of sugar, rice, ghee, and gram flour, are delivered directly to the people’s homes, ensuring a dignified and respectful process that doesn’t harm the self-esteem of the beneficiaries.

The distribution process is transparent and adheres to the criteria set by the Punjab government, with special revenue staff teams ensuring the smooth delivery of Rashan to the doorsteps of the beneficiaries. Additionally, the Punjab Food Authority will conduct daily quality checks of the edible items.

Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division, Engineer Aamir Khattak, recently visited the Industrial State to monitor the preparation of the ration bags for the Negahban Rashan Ramazan package. He informed that the distribution of the Negahban Rashan Ramadan package would commence from March 05, benefiting 378,496 families across the division.

The Rashan Ramadan package, containing 10 kg flour and two kg each of rice, sugar, ghee, and gram flour, is a significant step by the Punjab government to provide relief to the public amidst rising inflation. The Negahban Rashan program is a testament to the government’s commitment to supporting its citizens during the holy month of Ramadan.
